Liverpool stars pay visit to NASCAR factory on USA tour as Mohamed Salah is shown how to change a tyre

  • Liverpool have wasted no time in getting out and about on their American tour
  • Jurgen Klopp's squad flew out Saturday morning and already visited NASCAR
  • They were shown how to change tyres and given talks at the factory in Charlotte 

Liverpool arrived in the USA on Saturday but wasted no time in getting off and running by taking a tour to a NASCAR factory in Charlotte.

Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Naby Keita were among those being show how to change a tyre as the whole squad took a trip round Roush Fenway Racing.

The 29-man travelling party to the States got up close and personal with the vehicles and listened to talks from members of staff.

Jurgen Klopp's side are only in America for an eight-day tour, with trips to East Rutherford and Ann Arbor also scheduled.


The Reds jetted out from Manchester airport in the early hours of Saturday morning, their number boosted by the return of Salah and Mane following their exertions at the World Cup.

They returned, alongside Serbian midfielder Marko Grujic, to training at Melwood on Friday before flying out. 

Summer signing Xherdan Shaqiri is set to join up with the group in New Jersey after finishing his holiday after playing for Switzerland at the World Cup.

Liverpool are in America with a number of rival Premier League clubs for the International Champions Cup where they will have three fixtures.

Jurgen Klopp's team face Borussia Dortmund on Sunday, Manchester City next Wednesday and Manchester United next Saturday.

Their Premier League campaign gets underway on August 12 when they host West Ham at Anfield.
