Delaware Received $172,993,407 in small business federal contracts, according to the Small Business Administration.

The figure came as SBA Administrator Isabel Casillas Guzman announced the agency’s Fiscal Year 2023 federal procurement “Scorecard” results, which measure how well federal agencies meet their small business contracting goals each year.

“Federal procurement can be such a vital part of a small business growth plan, and federal dollars spent with small businesses are dollars that support local economies on the whole,” said Michelle Harris, SBA Delaware Director. “Delaware is no exception, and, so, we celebrate federal spending with First State firms, and SBA Delaware continues to work to support small business success in the federal government contracting arena.”

The Biden-Harris Administration exceeded its small business contracting goal of 23%, awarding a record 28.4% of federal contract dollars to small businesses, according to an SBA release.
