NASCAR hoods, Bob Marley on canvas: Dive bar swag up for bid

Tad Thompson, 57, Greenwood, smokes a cigarette Monday at the Blind Pig bar in downtown Greenwood, where he's been a regular for about a year. Starting January, Thompson and other smokers will be unable to smoke there under a new Johnson County ordinance that bans smoking in all bars and other locations.

You can own a piece of Greenwood dive bar history.

TVs, NASCAR hoods and Bob Marley on canvas are among the items up for bid in the Blind Pig's liquidation auction.

This stuff could fill a dozen man caves.

"Here is your chance to buy a piece of history from this iconic bar," Christie's of Indiana said on its auction site. The online-only auction closes on Oct. 19.

The Blind Pig operated in downtown Greenwood for 17 years before it shut down suddenly in July. It was one of the last bars in the city to go smoke-free.

Besides the glassware, neon signs and framed posters, you can also bid on piggy banks, chairs and pub tables.

For one Blind Pig fan, the auction might be a way to bring back one of his favorite menu items.

"GUYS!!!" Facebook user Dill Hero said in a post. "We could buy the pizza oven (as is) and make our own Blind Pig Pizza!!!"

The pizza oven, as is, had no bids as of Tuesday morning.
