MADRID -- Only one spot remains in the UEFA Champions League Final, as two of the most legendary clubs will duke it out one more time, as Real Madrid plays host to Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

It was a very eventful opening match of the semifinals between these clubs last Tuesday.

Real Madrid struck first in the 24th minute, as Vinícius Júnior found the back of the net, with the LaLiga power taking the 1-0 lead into halftime. However, Bayren stormed back. After Leroy Sane leveled the match in the 53rd minute, a penalty for Harry Kane gave the powerhouse German side the lead. However, a penalty awarded to Vinícius Júnior was converted in the 83rd minute, helping Real Madrid salvage a 2-2 draw heading back home.

The fact that Real Madrid has the chance to clinch its first championship match for the first time in two years plays a huge advantage for the 14-time UCL champions. However, do not expect Bayern Munich to lay down, as they are hungry for their first trip to the final since winning it all in 2020.

After last week’s result, Real Madrid is 12-4-11 against Bayern Munich.
